Hi, I'm Lorna Buchan
I live in Secret Harbour with my husband, four children and two dogs.
I'm a Chartered Accountant and Forensic Auditor and I have served the community as your Councillor for six years the last two as Deputy Mayor.
My husband runs a local small business, my eldest is proudly serving in the Royal Australian Navy, my second eldest is studying at UWA and my two youngest attend Comet Bay College.
I love our relaxed coastal lifestyle and I'm committed to protecting what makes our community so special during this time of growth and change.
I'm running to be your Mayor for the City of Rockingham because I believe local residents deserve better and we need a different, smarter approach.

I have been committed to these principles every single day since I was first elected as Councillor for Comet Bay ward in 2019 and Deputy Mayor in 2023. These are the values I will bring to lead positive change in our Council.
MY PRIORITY IS TO DELIVER A
BETTER, MORE AFFORDABLE CITY.
Lower rate rises and work to reduce the burden on ratepayers.
Stopping the junkets and wasteful spending in Council.
Upgrade our ageing infrastructure & important community and sporting facilities.
Fixing our roads and dangerous intersections.
Continue to work with the State and Federal Governments to bring further
investment in our City.
